As is already well known, the brand is characterised by the exceptional price-performance ratio of its rods and offers the fly-fishing community great products at truly affordable prices. With this model, Loomis & Franklin is establishing itself in the mid-price range with a fly rod that, given its excellent features, still has a very interesting price.

Unlike previous L&F rod models, the blank of the NX8 is made of a special carbon fibre manufactured in Japan, which significantly increases performance, casting comfort and durability. The perfect interplay of the material with the innovative resins used ensures a fly rod that is characterised by lightness, responsiveness and robustness. A very special braiding of the carbon fibres was chosen for the handle section of this fly rod, which counteracts torsion and thus makes it easier to maintain the casting plane, which in turn has a very positive effect on the length and precision of the casts.

The high-quality cork rod handle and the aluminium reel seat with carbon insert complete the picture of a high-quality fly rod with impressive performance.

THE INDIVIDUAL MODELS

9‘#4 & 9’#5: These two models are undoubtedly the most universal fly rods in this series. These powerful and versatile fly rods are equally at home on smaller and larger bodies of water and are excellent for fly fishing with dry flies, wet flies, classic nymph fishing and fly fishing with light streamers. Their fast action makes them very reactive and powerful.

9'6’ #3/4: A fly rod with an interesting combination of rod length and line weight, suitable for many applications of light and delicate fly fishing. The slightly longer reach gives you perfect leverage for optimal line control, whether you are fly fishing with dry flies and wet flies or classic nymph fishing. In smaller and medium-sized waters, this slightly longer fly rod also allows modern nymph fishing with ultralight lines without any problems.

10‘ #2/3 & 10'6’ #2/3: With the longer versions of the NX8 series, Loomis & Franklin offers great rod models for all fly fishermen who love modern nymph fishing. A fast action combined with a sensitive tip guarantees exceptional performance when Euronymphing, with perfect drift control and direct perception of any takes, however delicate. The two available lengths mean that you can find the right fly rod for both small and medium-sized waters. The 10'6’ #2/3 is a top-quality fly rod for professional fishing competitions.

10' #7/8: This fly rod is specially designed for fly fishing in small and large resivours and rivers It allows you to use a wide range of different fly lines, as are commonly used for fly fishing in Stillwater, and enables you to achieve the long casting distances necessary there to reliably get the fly to the fish. Perfect for Rutland or Chew !
